Job Description

If you are interested in working for a vibrant, long standing non-profit organization to help persons impacted by HIV, Prism Health North Texas is seeking a Program Manager for its Disease Intervention, Linkage to Care, and Risk Reduction programs. Key responsibilities include overseeing Disease Intervention and Linkage to Care/Risk Reduction staff members. Disease Intervention staff is responsible for investigating known clusters of HIV positive people and their partners with the goal of locating, testing and linking them to medical care, and providing risk reduction counseling. Linkage to Care staff focuses on ensuring that HIV positive individuals are successfully linked to medical care and conduct risk reduction. 


Candidates must be culturally competent and be experienced working with diverse populations within a human services field such as social work, psychology, counseling, or public health; skilled in assessment techniques and crisis intervention; and knowledgeable about sexually transmitted infection and HIV risk behaviors, human sexuality, substance misuse, and behavior change strategies.  They must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities. The position requires the ability to work a flexible work schedule including early morning, evening and weekend hours, and use of one’s personal transportation to investigation sites and/or to meet clients for appointments. If selected for the position, the candidate will need to show a valid driver’s license and appropriate automobile insurance. Positions have a minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in a social science or public health discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred.
